Industrial Development
The Chamber's Industrial Development programs aim to create and retain jobs by developing real estate and obtaining incentive financing for businesses. Industrial Development is comprised of two arms, who together boast 63 years of developing new facilities and programs to meet the emerging needs of the community.
Scranton Lackawanna Industrial Building Company or SLIBCO
SLIBCO is the industrial development arm of The Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce. SLIBCO has completed 356 development projects for a total of 20,869,224 square feet. These projects represent a $632,815,152 investment in the Greater Scranton area. Notable recent projects include Mount Pleasant Corporate Center, Jessup Small Business Park and Valley View Business Park.

The Scranton Plan
The Scranton Plan is the industrial marketing arm of The Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce. The mission of The Scranton Plan is to create and retain jobs for Lackawanna County. With the help of two Chamber divisions, the Scranton Lackawanna Industrial Building Company (SLIBCO) and the Lackawanna Industrial Fund Enterprises (LIFE), the Scranton Plan is the driving force behind job creation and retention for Lackawanna County.
The Chamber’s economic development programs have won numerous awards in the past for their efforts including the Top Economic Development Program in the nation by CUED in 2000, a Top Ten Local Economic Development Group in the May 2008 issue of Site Selection magazine and additional honors from PEDA, NEDA and the Small Business Administration.
