Annual Dinner 2008
The 140th annual dinner of the Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce will feature keynote speaker, Brian Cashman, Senior Vice President and General Manager of the New York Yankees.
Brian McGuire Cashman has literally grown up with the Yankees, joining the organization—at age 19—in June 1986 as an intern; at age 31—to become the second youngest General Manager in baseball history. Now in his 11th season, Mr. Cashman is the longest-tenured GM under Steinbrenner and the fourth-longest in current baseball history.
As GM, he has been involved in dozens of high-profile Major League free-agent signings, including Johnny Damon, Jason Giambi, Orlando Hernandez, Jon Lieber, Hideki Matsui, Mike Mussina, Alfonso Soriano and the re-acquisition of Andy Pettitte.
The dinner will be held Monday, June 23, 2008 at the Radisson Hotel at Lackawanna Station. The event is open to Chamber members only and seats are $60 per person. Space is limited to the first 400 paid reservations.
The Annual Dinner, hosted each Spring by the Chamber, is the event that no Chamber member can
afford to miss! The highlight of the Annual Dinner is the prominent, national speaker that
gives an address to the membership. The program also marks the close of the Chamber's program
year.

but it is also a great networking opportunity. With more than 700 guests in attendance, the
Annual Dinner is a great way to meet fellow members, the Chamber Board of Directors, president,
