The Small Business Council of the Chamber will hold an Economic Outlook Breakfast on
Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at 8:00 AM at The Radisson Lackawanna Station Hotel, 700
Lackawanna Avenue, Scranton. The featured speaker of the event is Dr. John E. Silvia, chief
economist of Wachovia Corporation. The
event is sponsored by Wachovia.
Dr. Silvia will provide insight into the future of the economy of the United States and will discuss how the economy will affect business both today and in the coming months.
Dr. Silvia joined Wachovia Corporation in February 2002 as chief economist. Previously, he worked on Capitol Hill as a senior economist for the U.S. Senate Joint Economic Committee and chief economist for the U.S. Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee. Prior to that, he was chief economist of Kemper Funds and managing director of Scudder Kemper Investments, Inc.
