2010/2011 PROGRAM OF WORK

MISSION: “TO IDENTIFY AND PROMOTE THE PRESERVATION AND ENERGY EFFICIENT TRANSPORTATION INFRASTRUCTURE THAT BEST SERVES NORTHEAST PENNSYLVANIA AND ITS POTENTIAL FOR GROWTH.”

NEW: Work with state and federal legislators to identify and obtain funding to complete the PennDOT access road for the Valley View Business Park.

Work with PA Northeast Regional Rail Authority and identify potential rail trans-load terminal sites in the mid-valley area to provide shipping alternatives to area companies, including tenants at the Jessup Small Business Center and Valley View Business Park.

ONGOING: Work with PA Northeast Regional Rail Authority to advance the New York City passenger rail project in upcoming High Speed Passenger Rail funding bills.
