Scranton's got good grub

OK, so we got straight to the point, but why waste time reading when you can be diving headlong into northeastern PA's "culinary diversity?"

From fine dining to classic diners to steakhouses to wing joints, Northeastern Pennsylvania is a melting pot of culinary experience. Our eateries are plentiful and affordable. American classics abound at restaurants like Patsel's, Smiler's Grill & Bar, Twigs Restaurant & Café, Harry & Billy's Restaurant, and 130 Brixx Grille & Tavern, which span a variety of price points.

Local ethnic favorites include pierogies, halluski and halupkies, and can be sampled at virtually any local fair or church picnic during the summer months. The Scranton area also offers a variety of international dining options. Kyoto is a modern Japanese restaurant, Abe’s Deli is a Jewish deli as well as a favorite of locals, Savory Maza is a new Lebanese restaurant and Moe’s Southwest Grill is another recent Tex-Mex addition. Do you amore Italian food? If so, Scranton will be your culinary heaven, just a few to sample are Pizza by Pappas, Faccia Luna, Bellissimo Pizzeria & Restaurant, Bistocchi's, and Colarusso's Restaurant.
