Maximizing Survival During an Active Shooter Incident

Employers & schools have a difficult task of finding time and qualified experts to train their personnel to be able to safely react in the event of an active shooter incident. Traditional approaches tend to have various flaws that may not ensure a successful outcome and can actually do more harm than good. Zachary Pugh, a police officer & the Owner/Chief Instructor of Pugh Self-Protection & Combatives, developed an alternative approach to traditional training that helps better maximize one’s chances of survival. This training workshop is interactive with role players safely interacting with participants. (This program has also been approved by GST BOCES for any NYS public school to receive state-aid to train their staff & students. To date, Pugh Self-Protection & Combatives has trained 15 NYS schools districts using this state-aid.) Pugh Self-Protection & Combatives are also an approved vendor to offer the two hour in person emergency drill training to PA schools per PCCD.
