Breakfast Keynote

Christina Butler

Christina Butler is a communications and presentation skills expert who speaks about the powerful correlation between what we say and how we say it.

As an international keynote speaker and workshop leader, her mission is to empower individuals to communicate clearly, concisely, and confidently.

Butler’s company, Speak Training, has helped audiences in nine countries transform their communications.  Her programs are often described as “career-changing” and “must-do’s,” with clients praising the lasting impact she has on their ability to speak confidently in any setting.

Butler’s greatest reward comes when participants share how they’ve gained a fresh perspective on public speaking and its potential to shape their careers.

Before becoming a keynote speaker, Butler spent nearly two decades as an Emmy-nominated television news anchor and reporter. Her career placed her at the heart of high-stakes events, where she covered everything from natural disasters to national scandals, mastering the art of staying poised and impactful under pressure.

A lifelong learner, Butler jokes she collects professional certifications the way some women collect shoes. She is a certified facilitator in DISC Behavioral Styles and Emotional Intelligence and holds advanced communication certificates from The University of Pennsylvania and Duke University.

Leadership Track

Kate Bryant

Kate Bryant is President and Chief Executive Officer of The Honesdale National Bank (HNB). 

Bryant began her career in the financial services industry in 1999, and in the banking industry in 2003. She joined HNB in 2004 in the Accounting Department and has held numerous positions including Chief Financial Officer, Senior Vice President, CFO and most recently Executive Vice President, CFO.

Bryant is a graduate of Honesdale High School. She received a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a master’s degree from Villanova University. In June 2005, Bryant graduated with High Honors from the PBA School of Banking. Bryant has served on the State Advisory Council for the PBA’s School of Banking and successfully completed the Leadership Wayne program in 2009.

Donna Kane

Donna Kane is a Retail Branch Manager for Fidelity Bank. After a lengthy career in retail sales, she pivoted and started a career in banking.

Kane has more than 20 years of customer service, sales and leadership experience. Throughout her career, Kane has had the opportunity to recruit, develop, nurture, and promote her team members. She has a passion to lead and coach others.

Kane serves on the Marley’s Mission Board of Directors as Treasurer.

Kane is a graduate of Scranton High School. In addition, she is a 2022 Leadership Lackawanna Core program participant and was chosen by her peers to receive the “Shining Star” award.  Currently, Kane serves as an Advisor for the Leadership Lackawanna Core Program.

Dr. Maria Montoro Edwards

Dr. Maria Montoro Edwards is the president and CEO of Maternal and Family Health Services (MFHS).

Dr. Montoro Edwards works to build organizational capacity and ensure the sustainability and growth of MFHS initiatives. She leads with a focus on equity and inclusion as the organization meets changing community needs and is connecting with staff and community members throughout the MFHS service network to find new opportunities to have a positive impact on women, children, and families.

Dr. Montoro Edwards serves on the Pennsylvania Maternal Mortality Review Committee and the board of PA Alliance of Family Planning Councils. She also serves on the boards of Northeast Regional Cancer Institute, Telespond Senior Services, and Northeast Pennsylvania Nonprofit Community Assistance Center.

Dr. Montoro Edwards has a master’s degree and a PhD from Marywood University.

Micheline Orlowsky

Micheline Orlowsky is the Program Director for the Masters and Dietetic Internship Program and is the Assistant Professor of Practice at Marywood University.

Orlowsky is active within the dietetics community and is currently serving as the Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access (IDEA) Chair and is a Past-President for the Pennsylvania Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (PAND) and the Northeast District of PAND. 

Orlowsky received a bachelor’s, master’s degree and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. at Marywood University. She is a Fellow of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and graduated from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Leadership Institute Class of 2022.

Personal Track

Christine DeGrazia

Christine DeGrazia is a speaker, registered nurse, author, and life coach with a passion for helping individuals and organizations manage stress, compassion fatigue, and mindset shifts.

DeGrazia has unique expertise in stress management, mindset shifts, and compassion fatigue. With more than a decade of experience, DeGrazia has helped countless women transform their lives by teaching them how to manage stress, reclaim their energy, and shift their perspective. Her practical and empowering approach inspires women to overcome the barriers stress creates, allowing them to embrace their full potential and pursue their dreams with confidence.

DeGrazia has presented at prestigious events and institutions, including Penn State University and Care Compass Network, Binghamton.

DeGrazia holds a bachelor’s degree from Penn State University. She is also a certified life coach.  

Elizabeth Keiper

Elizabeth Keiper is a Holistic Wellness & Education Specialist at Life Purposely.

As a wellness expert, Keiper is a coach, teacher, and public speaker on topics related to health and habit change. Keiper is passionate about helping women identify and overcome obstacles so that they can design and live life on their terms.

Keiper has owned and managed a business for 15 years.

Keiper received a bachelor’s degree Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a master’s degree from Norwich University. She is also a master certified health and life coach through Heath Coach Institute and has a certification in Functional Nutrition through Functional Nutrition Alliance.

Krystal Paulin

Krystal Paulin is the Founder and CEO of Granted Clarity Coaching and Consulting.

As a Certified Public Accountant, Paulin transforms financial data into actionable insights, empowering women to make informed decisions aligned with their big visions. She awakens the CEO mindset in solopreneurs and helps busy women reclaim their time.

Certified as a Life Coach in 2021, Paulin formalized years of experience guiding people through work, life, and self-discovery. With more than 10 years of fiscal and strategic expertise, she now supports entrepreneurial women as both a coach and consultant, providing clarity and strategy to achieve their dreams—today, not someday.

Paulin holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Binghamton University.

Dawn Zieger

Dawn Zieger is vice president of psychiatry and behavioral health at Geisinger. In this role, she is responsible for the operations of a full continuum of behavioral health services, including inpatient and outpatient behavioral health, addiction medicine and substance use treatment services serving central Pennsylvania.  Zieger is also an assistant professor at Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine, supporting cross disciplinary educational programming.

Zieger is a dynamic speaker, change agent and advocate for mental health services. She hasled the effort to bring needed behavioral healthcare services to rural Pennsylvania through virtual care while creating surge capacity for mental health services. Zieger has a passion for integration and transformation, leading multi-organizational initiatives to bring needed behavioral healthcare to patients across the continuum.  

Zieger has a diverse background in healthcare, payer, and technology-based environments. Prior to coming to Geisinger, she led transformation programs at JPS Health Network as Executive Director of Community and Director of Ambulatory Behavioral Health. She is a proud Army veteran with experience working with PATRIOT missile systems. 

Professional Track

Dr. Cynthia Edwards-Hawver

Dr. Cynthia Edwards-Hawver is licensed psychologist, certified coach, speaker, writer, and host of The Mama Shrink Podcast.

Her focus is helping high functioning women move from survivor to thriver and overcoming antagonistic burnout. She has a passion for helping women let go of guilt and perfection, set boundaries, become more assertive and live a life filled with joy, passion, and contentment.

Dr. Hawver has been featured twice in The Scranton Times, Parents Magazine, Pumble, and Success Magazine. She’s appeared on Word of Mom Radio, The Good Girls Get Rich Podcast, WVIA, and NewsWatch 16.

Dr. Hawver is currently working on her forthcoming book and embracing being a single mom in her 50’s to two amazing boys.

Dr. Hawver is a graduate of Cornell University, Wright State University, and completed her doctoral internship at The Pennsylvania State University. Additionally, Dr. Hawver has been a featured speaker at P&G. Prudential, Women’s Leadership Conference, Lyme Associations, Eating Disorder Associations, and has a weekly podcast (Mama Shrink) that has been running for several years. She has participated in many high-level mastermind groups, most notably with Kris Carr and Selena Soo.

Kayla Record

Kayla Record is a Senior College Planning Specialist and partner at S.E.E.D. Planning Group. She is also the host of the Cutthroat College Planning Podcast.

In these roles, Record leverages more than two decades of experience to guide students through the college application process. She has visited and collaborated with 300+ colleges, enriching her College Prep Bootcamp Program for high school juniors and seniors.

Record believes in giving back to the community. She was named Company Volunteer of the Year, having completed 250 hours of community service and runs a 100% volunteer-based non-profit that directs all proceeds back to the community.

Record is a prolific speaker, delivering more than one hundred presentations on college prep, leadership, and Turning Failures into Success. She hosts a national podcast for parents, helping them navigate college decision and she is dedicated to making a positive impact in education and her community.

Record received her bachelor’s degree from Stevenson University and holds two prestigious graduate certifications from Harvard University.

Dr. Tricia Richards-Service

Dr. Tricia Richards-Service is the president of I Need A Speaker, a global online platform that connects speakers with audiences.

Dr. Richards-Service has more than 20 years of experience as a communications professional. She has served organizations that range from billion-dollar, international Fortune 500 companies to local nonprofits. In addition, Dr. Richards-Service has presented at multiple international, national, and regional conferences.

Dr. Richards-Service earned a bachelor’s degree in communications/journalism, a master’s degree in healthcare administration, and a doctorate in strategic leadership and business administration. She is a two-time Fulbright awardee.

Dani Ruhf

Dani Ruhf is the Founder and CEO of CHOP Out Hunger, a nonprofit whose mission is to create an entire generation that doesn’t know hunger through innovative and collaborative outreach partnerships.

With warehouses in Towanda and Scranton, Dani’s mission is making headway by serving 50,000 children in 22 counties throughout Pennsylvania every single week. Dani resides in Laceyville, Pennsylvania. Dani is an experienced founder with a demonstrated history of non-profit development, management, fundraising, grant writing, and grant administration. Dani loves tea (especially earl grey!), traveling, smiling, and spending time with her family and is excited to work towards CHOP’s mission of creating a generation that doesn’t know hunger.

Dani graduated from a small high school in Bradford County then continued to Wilkes University before returning home.  A lifelong learner, most of her education comes from tenacious reading, researching, and listening.  She is currently enrolled in the Nonprofit Leadership Certificate Program at the University of Scranton and often takes part in conferences, cohorts, and seminars to hone her skill sets.

Moderators

Jen Azarowicz

Jen Azarowicz is the Director of Operations and Plant Manager for Plaskolite.

Azarowicz is graduate of Abington Heights. She then went on to receive a bachelor’s degree from Temple University. She has also completed several leadership classes at Northampton Community College and Kelly School of Business and plastics seminars at PA College of Technology.

Heather Percival

Heather Percival is the Client Relations Specialist at Damage Control.  In this role, she works to strengthen Damage Control’s relationship with existing clients and create new partnerships throughout Northeast PA.

Percival started her career at McCann School of Business and Technology in the admissions department.  She was later promoted and became a High School Presenter/Community Relations Representative for both the Dickson City and Hazleton Territories.  In 2010, she obtained her PA State Insurance License and worked in commercial insurance with many local municipalities, fire departments and small commercial businesses.

 In 2017, Percival pivoted and opened and operated a boutique, Grace Antony & Co., that specialized in locally made products. 

 Percival received a bachelor’s degree from Mansfield University.

Sean Ann Schoen

Sean Ann Schoen is the Vice President – Director of Marketing at PS Bank.

Schoen has more than five years of experience in marketing in the banking industry. Prior to that, Schoen spent seven years in higher education.

Schoen received a bachelor’s degree from East Stroudsburg University, and a master’s degree from Bloomsburg University.

Panelists

Holly DiLeo

Holly DiLeo is a Mortgage Loan Officer for Wayne Bank.

DiLeo started her professional journey right after earning her high school diploma. While she didn’t pursue a traditional college degree, DiLeo embraced every opportunity to grow through hands on learning. Her career has been a classroom, and each role has taught her skills that a degree alone could not provide.

Her approach has allowed her to grow professionally and overcome challenges without a traditional degree.

Janine Evanish

Janine Evanish is the owner of Catalyst Coaching, LLC, founder of the award-winning Heaven & Earth Gift Shop & Café, and co-founder of Horizon Dental Care.

As a passionate facilitator, speaker and  visionary with 40 years of experience, Evanish helps develop what is good, true, and beautiful in people and organizations. Her expertise has been used in healthcare, higher education, government and private sector organizations.

Evanish received a bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University, a master’s degree from West Virginia University, a certified as a dream manager with Floyd Consulting, and a working genius facilitator by Patrick Lencioni and the Table Group.

Deanna Fontanez

Deanna Fontanez is a correspondent for the Pennsylvania Television Network (PTN). Her twenty-five-year television journey is a testament to her perseverance and passion.

Fontanez’s career started in modeling and acting. Fontanez worked in front of the camera for years, but it wasn’t until she discovered her passion for hosting that everything fell into place. She spent twenty-three years at QVC—appearing in commercials and print ads. In her 40s, she fulfilled her childhood dream of hosting a travel show and now brings the magic of the Poconos to life on PTN.

Fontanez pursued a degree in criminal justice but took a leap of faith in media, which changed her path.

Karen Kaminski

Karen Kaminski is the founder of Allure Salon Suite Consulting, helping individuals and groups establish, manage, and scale private salon suite facilities for beauty professionals.

Kaminiski’s holistic beauty business acumen stems from her experiences as a salon owner and a top producing sales representative for major beauty brands including Moroccan Oil, East Coast Beauty Supply, and Cosmoprof. In these roles, she identified problems in the market — for both the franchisees and the struggling beauty professionals.

In 2016, Kaminiski founded Allure Salon Group, marking the introduction of private salon suites in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. This venture quickly expanded to five locations, supporting over 115 studio salons in running their own salon businesses.

The success of Allure Salon Group led to the establishment of Allure Salon Suite Consulting in 2018, where Kaminiski leverages her industry knowledge to assist clients in establishing, managing, and scaling private Salon Suite facilities at cost-effective rates.

Her consultancy does more than just set up facilities; it educates and supports beauty professionals, fostering low turnover rates and sustainable profitability. This innovative approach has positioned Allure Consulting not just as a service provider but as a business incubator for both Salon Suite investors and entrepreneurial beauty professionals.

Dr. Christine Kiesinger

Dr. Christine Kiesinger is the founder of CEK Communication.

Dr. Kiesinger creates professional development trainings in the areas of leadership mastery, team dynamics, interpersonal relationships, conflict resolution, stress, and trauma.

Dr. Kiesinger is the co-creator of AMPLIFY: Women’s Leadership Certificate Program. She maintains a robust Executive Coaching practice and is a seasoned professional speaker with over three decades of experience nation-wide.

Dr. Kiesinger is a published author, podcast guest, interviewer, and guest blogger. She has been published in Thrive Global, Medium, and Authority. She co-authored the book, “Narrating Midlife: Crisis, Transition, Transformation,” and is currently completing her second book, “The Vow: The Art of Self Devotion.”

Dr. Kiesinger received bachelor’s degree from Wilkes University, a master’s degree from the University of Virginia and a Ph.D. from the University of Southern Florida. She is also a certified trauma educator, a certified IFS Practitioner, a certified professional coach, a certified ELI Master Practitioner and holds a HEROIC Public Speaking Graduate.

Jessica Matthews

Jessica Matthews is the Staff Writer for the Office of the President at The Wright Center for Community Health.

A national award-winning investigative journalist with more than thirty years of experience, Matthews has held many positions at The Times-Tribune daily newspaper in Scranton. Most recently, she served as the Metro Editor from 2011 through 2023 where she was responsible for local news coverage and leading the newsroom reporting staff.

Matthews joined The Wright Center for Community Health as its Staff Writer for The Office of the President in January 2024

Matthews has a bachelor’s degree from Mount Holyoke College and a master’s degree from Boston University.

Katelynn Nichols

Katelynn Nichols is a partner at Cawley Johnson & Sanders, PC.

In 2013, Nichols started her career at Cawley Johnson & Sanders as a staff accountant. She worked in several different roles at the firm before being offered a partnership in the firm in 2020 – all before she turned 30.

Katelynn has been named Keystone College: Alumni to Watch, PICPA Young Leader Award, and recently was named NEPA Business Journal 20 Under 40 professional.

Nichols received a bachelor’s degree from Keystone College.

Michelle Pack

Michelle Pack is a financial services professional with New York Life. A results-driven leader in financial services, sales strategy, and community empowerment she is a top agent at New York Life. Pack has a track record of turning vision into action and earning accolades like Agent of the Year.

Prior to this role, Pack led national sales growth as Tesla’s Solar Division Director, driving innovation and expansion.

Passionate about empowering women, she serves on the boards of Dress for Success Luzerne County, Junior Achievement, and the Jewish Community Center. As Co-Chair of the Women’s Network, she champions mentorship, leadership, and career development to help others transform ambitions into achievements.

Pack received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. 

Tracy Lynn Pagan

Tracy Lynn Pagan is the General Manager of The Swiftwater Hotel.

Pagan has more than a decade of experience in hotel operations. In her current role, Pagan is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of all departments in the hotel. She previously served as director of sales, director of hotel operations, front office manager, shift manager of marketing and hotel services manager.

Pagan holds certifications from the American Hotel & Lodging Association as a Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA).

Abigale Platt

Abigale Platt is the Associate Director of Communications & Marketing at Johnson College, the region’s only technical college.

In this role, Platt oversees internal and external communications for the college. She is responsible for creating, executing, and evaluating traditional and digital marketing and promotional plans to enhance the College’s brand.

Platt also creates artwork with her cousin under the name, Creative Chaos.

Platt received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Scranton.

Carolyn Rose

Carolyn Rose is the President and Owner of Rose Insurance Agency.

In 2003, Rose became the first woman in the region to be an independent agent, president, and owner of an Erie Insurance Agency.

Rose has always had a unique approach to customer service, focusing on a greater understanding of her customer’s needs. She provides a wide range of insurance to protect the things that matter most to her customers.

Rose is committed to being an active member of the community and places a special focus on advancing young women in business and sports.

Rose is Certified Professional Insurance Agent. She attended Marywood University and has a nursing degree from Community Medical Center School of Nursing.

Kelly Young

Kelly Young is a sales coordinator for InterMetro Industries. In this role, she supports commercial and healthcare markets through data analysis, pricing strategy, and reporting.

Young attended Dallas High School and spent her senior year in Argentina as a Rotary Youth Exchange student, becoming fluent in Spanish. The experience served as a turning point in her life and inspired her adventurous spirit. Her passion for language, culture, and travel has taken her to 28 countries. Her experiences include rappelling off a castle in Italy, climbing Mount Vesuvius, trekking Argentina’s Perito Moreno glacier, and skiing the French Alps.

Young received a bachelor’s degree from King’s College. She also serves as a board member for Wilkes-Barre POWER!, promoting networking opportunities for students.

Wellness

Kailin Bouse

Kailin Bouse is the owner of Kailin of Earth Wellness Studio in Clarks Summit. She offers workshops, classes, and services to help people reverse the symptoms of chronic stress, rebalance the nervous system, and find empowerment within to feel at home in their own bodies.

Bouse has partnered with many of NEPA’s leading impactful institutions such as the Lackawanna Blind Association, Penn State Scranton & Wilkes-Barre, Lackawanna College, Keystone College, The University of Scranton, Abington Heights School District, Forest City High School, WellKind Early Learning Center, Scranton Jewish Community Center, Greater Scranton YMCA, Scranton Turning Point Alternative Living Solutions (TPALS), Scranton Drug and Alcohol Treatment Service (DATS), and more.

Bouse was featured as “Northeast Woman” by The Times Tribune in honor of her inspiring story and heartfelt efforts in serving the community.

Bouse spent more than two years studying at the Himalayan Institute of Yoga Science and Philosophy and is a 500-Hour Yoga & Meditation Instructor, Certified Sound Therapist, and Reiki Master Practitioner.

Edna Cementina

Edna Cementina is the owner of EHealth Wellness & Fitness Studio in Dunmore. Her team offers personal training, massage therapy, and body contour services. Her journey is about family, wellness, and inspiring others to embrace their potential.

For two decades, Cementina worked as a Client Service Executive with Cigna Healthcare, but her passion for wellness led her to the fitness industry. In 2021, she opened a 600-square-foot fitness studio in Dunmore, which has grown into a 4,000-square-foot wellness center offering group fitness, spin, strength training, massage therapy, Reiki, and more.

Cementina has an Associate Degree in Business Administration, she is ASFA Certified in Personal Training, Group & Bootcamp Fitness Instruction, and Indoor Spin/Cycling Instruction. She is also a certified instructor in ZUMBA, Strong Nation, and POUNDFit.

Jackie Kerekes

Jackie Kerekes is the owner of The Training Loft, LLC.

Kerekes utilizes her fitness, nutrition and wellness knowledge and experience to follow her passion. She created The Training Loft, LLC to be a space to provide one-on-one and semi-private training. The business offers clients personalized plans and coaching in their fitness and wellness journey.

Kerekes is NASM Certified as a Personal Trainer, a Fitness Nutrition Specialist, a Strength and Flexibility Coach, and a Group Fitness Instructor.

Jeannine Luby

Jeannine Luby is the founder and president of Laugh to Live! Since 2006, she has led stress-reducing, mental alertness, and wellness-boosting laughter yoga for over 100 clients in NEPA and beyond. Her clients have included Geisinger, Prudential, National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), Disability Pride PA, Family Services Association, NEPA Chapter of SHRM, and many others throughout NEPA and beyond.

She produces and hosts the weekly podcast Uncorked with Funny Wine Girl,” amplifying the voices of women from northeast PA and beyond. Listen on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and more.

 Luby has alternated between comedy improvisation and stand-up comedy for 20 years and currently produces and performs in comedy shows branded “Funny Wine Girl” –by women, for women, at wineries, women-owned businesses, client appreciation events and other unique locations.

In addition to a bachelor’s degree in journalism from The Pennsylvania State University and a master’s degree in communication arts from Marywood University, she holds certifications from the American School of Laughter Yoga and the World Laughter Tour.  She also earned a certificate in “Using Humor in the Workplace” from eCornell as well as “Positive Psychology: Martin E. P. Seligman’s Visionary Science” from the University of Pennsylvania and Coursera and Mental Health First Aid from Mental Health First Aid USA.

Dawn Marino

Dawn Marino is a spiritual medium and channeler, certified crystal energy healer, intuitive healer, and tarot reader. She is also an artist who creates channeled healing art infused with energy.

Marino is the author of two published tarot books, “Tarot Journal for Beginners” and “The Complete Guide to Tarot.” Her healings focus on working through the Dark Night of the Soul and the Void space, reconnecting you to your higher self and helping you to feel empowered again.

Marino uses crystal healing by tapping into the energy and consciousness of different crystals and drawing their energy and wisdom. Her work is a unique blend of channeled messages, crystals, tarot, art, and healing techniques. She enjoys connecting with people in-person and remotely to support them on their healing journeys, working with them as they rebuild their sense of self and purpose.

Marino is a Certified Professional Crystal Energy Healer, Certified Level II Reiki Practitioner, Certified in intuitive tarot and mediumship studies and an ordained minister.

Talia Walsh

Talia Walsh is the owner of Quest Studio, a specialty fitness studio and wellness center located in Jessup, PA. The business is comprised of three studios—a fitness studio and wellness center, yoga studio, and stretch and recovery center.

Walsh is an exercise physiologist, entrepreneur, and business owner, she focuses on empowering others to reach their goals by using multiple tools touching on health, fitness, nutrition, recovery, and behavior change and mindset. She has made it her mission to help others become their best self and achieve optimum levels of health and wellness in all aspects of their lives.

Walsh received a master’s degree from Bloomsburg University. She is NEPA’s first Fascial Stretch Therapy Practitioner (Level 3 & Sports Specific) with additional specialties in Thai Massage Posture Correction. She has earned more than forty certifications that include several specialty fitness certifications, personal and group training, nutrition, and wellness coaching certifications, 300RYT in Vinyasa Yoga, prenatal yoga, adaptive yoga, kids’ yoga, etc., Thai Massage, Posture Correction and more.

Teen

Attorney Danielle Guari, Esq.

Attorney Danielle Guari is the Assistant District Attorney for the Lackawanna County.

Attorney Guari began her law career as a clerk for the Honorable Judge Vito Geroulo.  In February 2022, she began working at the Lackawanna County District Attorney’s Office as an Assistant District Attorney.  In this position, Attorney Guari prosecutes cases, varying from domestic violence, felony drug cases, and homicides. She enjoys providing justice for victims and serving her community.

Prior to becoming a prosecutor, Attorney Guari worked at the University of Scranton Small Business Development Center.

Gretchen Henderson

Gretchen Henderson is the regional program coordinator for Girls on the Run (GOTR) Lehigh Valley & Pocono.

Henderson began her career as a teacher in Norristown, PA, where she spent several years fostering a love of teaching.  She then worked as a school counselor in Baltimore, offering guidance on academic, social, and emotional challenges to her students.

After having children, Henderson was a stay-at-home mom and was a dedicated volunteer for various organizations.  In 2015, Henderson was instrumental in bringing Girls on the Run to Lackawanna County. Through volunteering, she became passionate about this transformative program.

In 2022, she became a Program Coordinator for GOTR and oversees Lackawanna, Luzerne, Wyoming, Wayne and Monroe counties.  To date, more than 1,200 girls in the NEPA region have participated in GOTR.

Gretchen received a bachelor’s degree from Bloomsburg University, and a master’s degree from West Chester University, a Post Graduate Professional Certificate from the University of Pennsylvania, and professional certificates in School Counseling, K-6, Educational Specialist, K-6 and Elementary Education, K-6.

Dr. Anne Marie Morse

Dr. Anne Marie Morse is a board-certified neurologist with special qualifications in child neurology.  She is a board certified and fellowship trained sleep medicine specialist.

Dr. Morse is the director of child neurology and pediatric sleep medicine at Janet Weis Children’s Hospital – Geisinger Health System. She founded and is the program director of the child neurology residency program and is an associate professor at Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine.

Dr. Morse is an internationally recognized thought leader in neurology and sleep medicine and envisions a world where sleep can be acknowledged as the vital sign of health, wellness, and performance.

Dr. Morse received a bachelor’s degree from Georgian Court University and a doctorate from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey School of Osteopathic Medicine. She also has post-doctoral training in Pediatrics, Pediatric Neurology, and Sleep Medicine.

Nikki Paolicelli

Nikki Paolicelli is the Assistant Director for Student Services & Engagement and Student Activities Coordinator at Penn State Scranton.

Paolicelli’s journey with Penn State started as a student where she was heavily involved in campus life through extracurricular activities.

In her current role, Paolicelli plans and executes events that enhance student experiences outside the classroom. Additionally, she oversees more than twenty student clubs and organizations, and hosts leadership trainings to help students grow their interpersonal skills personally and professionally.

Paolicelli received a bachelor’s degree in business management & marketing from Penn State Scranton and is a graduate of the Leadership Lackawanna Core Program.

Kayla Record

Kayla Record is a Senior College Planning Specialist and partner at S.E.E.D. Planning Group. She is also the host of the Cutthroat College Planning Podcast.

In these roles, Record leverages more than two decades of experience to guide students through the college application process. She has visited and collaborated with 300+ colleges, enriching her College Prep Bootcamp Program for high school juniors and seniors.

Record believes in giving back to the community. She was named Company Volunteer of the Year, having completed 250 hours of community service and runs a 100% volunteer-based non-profit that directs all proceeds back to the community.

Record is a prolific speaker, delivering more than one hundred presentations on college prep, leadership, and Turning Failures into Success. She hosts a national podcast for parents, helping them navigate college decision and she is dedicated to making a positive impact in education and her community.

Record received her bachelor’s degree from Stevenson University and holds two prestigious graduate certifications from Harvard University.

Sarah Smith

Sarah Smith is the Coordinator of Counseling and Psychological Services at Penn State Scranton.

Previously a school counselor, Smith has a wide range of experience working with young children, adolescents, young adults, parents. 

Since 2014, Smith has worked as a Licensed Professional Counselor with individuals, couples, and families in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Her positive and comforting approach to counseling and passion for helping people provides a prime environment for clients to work on change to create a more balanced life.

Smith received a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Pennsylvania State University.
