Mary McDermott is the workforce development and leadership assistant for The Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce. In this role, McDermott offers operational and administrative support for The Chamber’s affiliate organizations, Skills in Scranton and Leadership Lackawanna. McDermott’s journey with The Chamber began as an intern with the IGNITE program. Returning to The Chamber as the workforce development and leadership administrative assistant, McDermott brings valuable customer service experience. McDermott holds a bachelor’s degree in business marketing from The Pennsylvania University. She previously worked at Lackawanna College as an enrollment counselor. McDermott is dedicated to community service and annually volunteers for the Eugene Donovan Scholarship Fundraiser.
