HNB Makes Donates to Friendship House The Honesdale National Bank has recently made a $20,000 contribution to Friendship House through the Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP) Tax Credit. The funds will help offset the cost of architects and engineers for their building project in Scranton, PA. HNB President & CEO, Thomas E. Sheridan Jr., stated, “We are glad to make this contribution to support an organization who truly cares about our community members.” He continued, “Friendship House gives many individuals, with physical or mental disabilities, a chance to maximize their well-being with proper support and care.” The building project in Downtown Scranton is a personal care center. This facility will provide mental health, substance abuse, and primary physical health care. Friendship House is dedicated to serving families and their children with autism, with emotional and/or behavioral difficulties, and/or who are traumatized by loss, abuse, or neglect. Friendship House is also dedicated to serving adults with mental illness and/or developmental/intellectual disabilities. Their dedication manifests itself by providing individualized services which promote resiliency in children and recovery in adults, and maximize physical, emotional, behavioral, and social well-being of those they serve. HNB Contributes to Construction Project The Honesdale National Bank has made a $124,250 contribution to the Wayne County YMCA. The funds will go towards phase one on their construction project which includes, development and completion of engineering design, site development plans, development approvals, sewage, and PennDOT approvals of highway access. The Dime Bank Donates to the YMCA Project The Dime Bank donates $124,250.00 to the YMCA Project through the Department of Community and Economic Development under the Neighborhood Assistance Program Tax Credit Program. The Wayne County YMCA has outgrown the current historical building and needs a new facility as the current facility is becoming too costly to operate. The Dime Bank believes in supporting our community by partnering with many non-profits. Allied Services Receive Donation Local business, TOPP Business Solutions, recently presented Allied Services with a donation of $6,500 in support of the Team Allied Services and You. This annual charity campaign raises awareness and funds for children and adults with disabilities, life-changing injuries, and chronic illness served by Allied Services. TOPP Business Solutions is headquartered in Scranton and is a provider of printing equipment, document management solutions, IT services, and other support services to businesses throughout Northeast, Central, and the Leigh Valley of Pennsylvania. They are long-time supporters of Allied Services, regularly supporting the non-profit’s vocational training and employment programs for individuals with disabilities. “Allied Services is an asset to the communities it serves. You don’t realize the true scope of what it does for our area until you or a member of your family needs to utilize their support. FNCB Donates to Lake Lehman School District FNCB Bank, locally based since 1910, is pleased to announce their latest project supporting the community with the donation of two multi-sport scoreboards at the brand-new Lake Lehman School District athletic fields. Allied Services Receives Donations FNCB Bank Donates $5,000 to Support Allied Services FNCB Bank announced its support for Allied Services with a $5,000 donation to the Vocational Services Division. FNCB will serve as returning co-presenting sponsors of Allied Services Vocational Services Golf Classic. The charity tournament is scheduled for Monday, July 11, 2022, at Glenmaura National Golf Club in Moosic, Pa. Now in its 29th year, the tournament benefits individuals with disabilities participating in training and employment programs provided by the non-profit health system. Allied Services Vocational Services Division serves over 500 individuals with disabilities each year. Individuals with disabilities enrolled in the program receive specialized training, development of work-related skills, and supervision and guidance in the workplace as needed. The goal of the program is to support and empower individuals with disabilities as members of the workforce.
