For over 100 years, the United Way of Wyoming Valley has been helping children and families in the Wyoming Valley. FNCB Bank’s donation will touch the lives of many individuals and families in Northeastern Pennsylvania.

The Keystone Mission Receives Donation from FNCB Bank

The Keystone Mission, the Wilkes-Barre Innovation Center for Homeless & Poverty, received a $5,000 grant from the FNCB Bank, through the FNCB Bank Charitable Foundation. This donation is part of their larger Community Caring initiative. Through community partnerships, Keystone is filling the immediate and long-term needs of those facing homelessness in the Wilkes-Barre area. The facility provides meals, showers, emergency provisions, and daily programming and doubles as the Emergency Shelter – Code Blue during winter. “Since the opening, we have seen a steady increase in the number of guests who come through our doors daily,” says Danielle O. FNCB Bank, through the FNCB Bank Charitable Foundation, today announced a $5,000 donation to Keystone Mission in support of their new Wilkes-Barre Innovation Center.

The Wilkes-Barre Innovation Center, opened on October 23, 2023, acts as an educational and hands-on facility for both men and women experiencing homelessness in Northeastern PA. The facility provides a place to receive meals, clothing, showers, and the ability to meet with community service providers.

FNCB Bank Spreads Holiday Cheer with Toys for Tots Donation Drive

FNCB Bank, locally based since 1910, is pleased to announce they recently held a Toys for Tots drive that brought in hundreds of donated toys for children in Northeast Pennsylvania.

The drive was conducted in all 16 community offices as well as FNCB’s Corporate Centers in Dunmore.

Midge MacArthur, FNCB Bank Dunmore Community Office Manager, spearheaded the project.

“The generosity of our customers and employees is truly incredible,” said MacArthur. “Every year we do this, the number of toys donated increases. It’s because of this generosity, that many kids in NEPA will have a brighter holiday season.”

FNCB Bank Donates $85,000 to the Diocese of Scranton

FNCB Bank, based locally since 1910, has allocated $85,000 through the Pennsylvania Education Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program to the Diocese of Scranton Scholarship Foundation. This donation aims to facilitate tuition assistance for students enrolled in pre-school, elementary, and high school programs throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania.

The Diocese of Scranton Scholarship Foundation annually extends tuition awards to over 1,000 families, a substantial portion of which is funded by contributions from FNCB Bank.

FNCB Bank Employees Spread Holiday Cheer with Generous Donations

Employees help local families this season

FNCB Bank, deeply rooted in the local community since 1910, once again demonstrated its commitment to making a positive impact this holiday season. Employees rallied together to donate $1,100 in grocery gift cards and 200 gifts to benefit 11 local families as part of the Bank’s annual “Adopt-A-Family” initiative.

This year marked a significant milestone for FNCB Bank as 100 staff members actively participated in the Adopt-A-Family program, the bank’s hallmark holiday gift-giving event. The program, now in its ninth year, successfully matches families in need from the Catherine McAuley Centers of Lackawanna and Luzerne County, and Children and Youth Services of Wayne County, with employees eager to spread holiday joy.

Michael Cummings, Senior Vice President, Marketing Manager, said, “Since launching the Adopt-A-Family program, we have successfully matched 102 families, while also fulfilling wish lists for these two incredible organizations. FNCB Bank Donated Four Scoreboards to Hanover Area School District

FNCB Bank, locally based since 1910, is pleased to announce its latest project supporting the community with the donation of four scoreboards to the Hanover Area School District. The new scoreboards were recently installed at the high school gymnasium for basketball (2) as well as the softball and baseball fields.

FNCB Bank, locally based since 1910, has announced a $15,000 Pennsylvania Education Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) donation to the NEIU 19 CORE Foundation.

The NEIU 19 is an educational agency that supports the diverse needs of all learners by collaborating with families, educators, and community partners to provide innovative leadership, programs, and services. FNCB’s donation will help the foundation fund the afterschool & competition program, Arts Alliance, Technology & the Arts, and STEAM Camp programs for the 20 school districts served by the NEIU.

Since 2010, FNCB has contributed $3,000,000 to local educational and scholarship organizations through the EITC initiative.

FNCB Bank Donates $15,000 to Allied Services

FNCB Bank recently presented Allied Services with a generous $15,000 donation as part of Team Allied Services & You. FNCB Bank is a proud major sponsor of Team Allied Services & You, the annual charity campaign hosted by WNEP TV and Allied Services. Funds raised from the months-long charity campaign will benefit patients and residents at the non-profit health system.  

FNCB Bank is a long-time supporter of Allied Services, contributing to various health and vocational programs run by the non-profit health system. On November 5, 2023, FNCB Bank team member Jason Bohenek will participate in the TCS New York City Marathon
